July is halfway, and halfway is for checkups. This is the fifteen-minute phone audit we run with customers every summer — and if you’re not a customer yet, run it yourself on your current provider. It routinely finds money.
1. Read one phone bill, line by line
Not the total — the lines. Regulatory fee stacking, “paper bill” charges, mystery surcharges, per-feature nickels that became quarters: legacy carrier bills grow like gardens. Anything you can’t explain, call and ask. (Radvox bills fit on one screen on purpose.)
2. Count lines you actually use
That fax line for the machine you retired. The line for the alarm system that’s now cellular. The “rollover” line from when you had more staff. Businesses commonly pay for one or two ghost lines at $50–100 a month each. Exorcise them.
3. Find the double-pays
Paying separately for a conferencing app, a texting service, an answering service, or call recording? Those are built into modern plans. Consolidation is the quiet savings nobody markets.
4. Verify your E911 address
Not a money item — a safety one. If you’ve moved, remodeled, or added locations since setup, confirm your emergency address is current. Two minutes, genuinely important, and we’ll check it with you.
5. Match the promo, keep the promise
Our summer promo runs $25/month for a full-featured PBX seat with desk phone — which makes July an excellent month to compare your audit results against a switch. Bring us the bill you dissected in step one; we’ll show you the same services on one honest page.
Radvox customers: your checkup is free and standing — call or text 801-990-4444 and we’ll run all five steps with you before the summer’s out.
Fifteen minutes. Worst case, you confirm everything’s tight. Best case, you fund the company holiday party. Either way, that’s a good audit.
